GENERAL INFORMATION:

  1. •PAC (Princeton Athletic Club) U19 Rugby is for males aged 15-19 & PAC U15 Rugby is for males aged 12-15 who are interested in playing rugby. The teams are not restricted to one particular district. Anyone is welcome to join. To be eligible for the 2010 U19 rugby season, you must be under 19 years old before September 1, 2009.

  2. •To be eligible for the 2010 U15 rugby season, you must be under 15 years old before September 1, 2009.

  3. •PAC U19 & U15 teams are located in South Brunswick, NJ. The practice and game field is at Crossroads School.  The teams are sponsored by PAC men's rugby club in an effort to expand youth rugby in the United States and the Metropolitan New York area. All U19, U15, high school, college, and men's clubs are branched from USA Rugby. PAC U19 & U15 Rugby are part of the Metropolitan NY Union. There were thirteen U19 teams and eight high school teams that were part of the MetNY Union in 2009. There will be even more teams in 2010.

  4. •Rugby is a full contact sport. It is a combination of football and soccer. You can read the basic rules here. Safety is one our top priorities in U19 rugby. The PAC U19 & U15 Rugby head coach has been involved in rugby as a player and coach for 15 years and is USA rugby certified.

  5. •Almost all of our players are BRAND NEW to rugby so do not worry about being new to the game. All are more than welcome to join.

 

PRACTICE:

  1. •PAC U19 & U15 Rugby plays and practices in the spring at Crossroads School in South Brunswick, NJ. Practice will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting in March from 5:30 - 7:00 P.M. Jerseys will be provided on game days for the players to wear. Players will just need cleats (football or soccer are fine), rugby shorts, socks, and a mouth piece. 

 

DUES and WAIVERS:

  1. •Dues for PAC U19 Rugby are $30 per player for the season. Each player will receive rugby shorts and socks as part of the dues fee. All money directly pays for costs to run the team. This is a non-profit organization and coaches are volunteers.

  2. •PAC U15 Rugby is FREE for all players. Shorts and socks will be available for purchase at cost.

  3. •All players will need to have waivers signed in order to practice and play. Players 17 or younger need a parent or guardian signature. PAC U19 Waiver , PAC U15 Waiver , and  USA Rugby Waiver

  4. •USA Rugby also requires that all U19 players are registered. You can register online at https://membership.usarugby.org/default.aspx which is a $20 fee. Just follow the steps to register. When prompted for a team name, use "Princeton Athletic Club U19 Rugby." You will need to pay with credit card.
